Welcome to Eagley School House Nursery!

We have now been operating since September 2003 and have become established with a very good reputation. Our nursery prides itself on its friendly and warm environment. We have developed excellent relationships with all our parents and enjoy receiving suggestions and comments from them in order to continue to improve the service we offer. Our OFSTED inspection report reflects well the service we offer to customers and the way we care for the children.

The nursery is split into three rooms:

The baby room accommodates up to 8 babies from 6 weeks to 2 years old. Within the room we have developed a tweenie area where children are then prepared for their transition into toddlers. We have three excellent trained staff who work in the room. As part of the curriculum we have implemented and followed Birth to Three matters since opening the nursery. We ensure that all staff receive the latest training to ensure that our work is carried out to the highest standard. A diary is provided on a daily basis to provide a overall picture of your child's day, including diet and nappy changes.

The toddler room can accommodate up to 7 children from the age of 2. Again we have two qualified staff operating in the room following the Birth to Three guidelines. The room is bright and cheerful and warming. The room is arranged to ensure children enjoy playing in a fun and stimulating environment. Toddler information sheets provide a daily record of what activities the children have been involved in.

Pre-school caters for children from 2 and a half to 3 depending on their development and emotional and social ability. Our daily planning follows the foundation curriculum to ensure that all children meet the requirements to prepare them for their first year in primary school. We aim to ensure that children are encouraged to identify their name and be able to write their own name before school begins. We offer a parents' page each month to illustrate to parents the theme for the month. We also give ideas to further opportunities for learning. Weekly activity sheets indicate what your child has done throughout the week. Files can easily be accessed for parents to peruse and check how their child is developing.

Our daily planning is carried out in every room to ensure that Birth to Three standards are achieved as well as the foundation curriculum.
